Iron Tefal FV5737: review, specifications, pros / cons, reviews
Tefal is a kind of "flagship" in the world of household irons. It produces the largest range of models, both inexpensive and for professional use. And Tefal FV5737 is one of the most affordable irons from this manufacturer.But at the same time, it has the support of all those technologies that Tefal equipment is supplied with and from a higher price category.
Functional overview
Functions supported by the Tefal FV5737 iron:
- steam boost;
- constant steam supply (without holding the button, you just need to put the regulator in the appropriate position);
- protection against scale formation;
- protection against drops, splashing (steam is turned on only when the sole is heated to a predetermined temperature);
- there is a spray function (you also need to set the regulator to the appropriate position);
- protection against scale formation (both in the tank itself and on the sole, in the nozzles);
- the sole is made using Durilium Airglide technology, so it heats up quickly (faster than cermet or with ceramic coating);
- visual control of the level of the remaining water.
Model Features
Although the Tefal FV5737 does not have a ceramic sole (made of duralumin), it is lightweight, and by adding special recesses with a shift to the back, it glides perfectly on any fabric. This model also features an advanced anti-calc system. Therefore, if you release the steam supply button, it does not immediately turn off its flow, but gradually reduces it, which prevents the situation when drops remain on the soleplate.
The cable is reinforced, thickened. It does not twist, does not fold (even if you store it by simply “wrapping” it around the iron, as most people do).
Pros and cons of the model
The main advantages of the Tefal FV5737 iron:
- Low cost, as for an iron from this manufacturer.
- Light.
- Can be used for vertical steaming of things.
- Does not form scale even after 0.5 years of active use.
- The sole does not scratch.
Flaws:
- not convenient fastening of the cord;
- the anti-drip system works well only if the maximum heating temperature is turned on;
- small water tank.

I have long wanted to buy an iron from this manufacturer. Settled on this model. Yes, it is better than other irons in everything. The only thing I didn't like was how the steam boost works. It is powerful, but if you hold the button for more than 1 second, it will definitely start to “spit”. So vertical steaming here can be said to not work.
