Iron Philips DST5040/80: overview, specifications, pros/cons, reviews
A very stylish and elegant steam iron, made in a simple coffee color with a smooth collar, and even for little money. The iron is completely plastic, but there is a metal element on the bottom, this is the sole itself, respectively.
It is quite light due to its plastic body, but at the same time it has high performance, since the power of the steam boost here is as much as 200 grams. The power of this device is 2600 watts, it works from a two-meter cord with a fabric sheath, which, of course, does not burn and holds the device well.
Functionality
Philips DST5040/80 is not only a great design solution, but also a truly high-quality iron. It works in several modes: the first mode is the steam mode, which is regulated in two positions - if there is a deuce on the carousel, then there should be a unit on the wheel in front of the iron. If you want to turn on the turbo mode, then the carousel must be set to a triple, or to the maximum position and move the front wheel to a deuce.
The impact interval should be no more than 1 time in 5 seconds. The release of steam is carried out by a special key. To clean the iron from scale and everything that has accumulated in it, you can also use two modes: the first mode is self-cleaning, and the second is the descaling mode. To do this, you need to pull the front wheel out of the device and shake out all the remaining scale.
Distinctive features
Of the external controls, one can single out a power adjustment carousel, traditionally located under the handle, and three adjustment modes. Further on top are the keys for a steam boost, a spray gun, as well as the possibility of self-cleaning and descaling.

Vitaly:
The iron is just fire! It not only looks stylish, but also heats up quickly, does not spill anything, does not burn through, does not stink, etc. as is often the case with cheap irons. Definitely worth the price and even more!
