Iron Philips GC5039 / 30 Azur Elite: review, specifications, pros / cons, reviews

The Philips GC5039/30 Azur Elite iron belongs to the "premium" line.Equipped with digital control, an intelligent temperature control system, as well as a super powerful steam boost (can be used for vertical steaming of things).

Features Philips GC5039/30 Azur Elite

Functions supported by Philips GC5039/30 Azur Elite iron:963

  1. Continuous, adjustable and automatic steam supply (DynamicQ technology). The choice of modes is carried out using buttons located both on the handle itself and on the side of the case.
  2. Steam attack. There are 2 modes available: standard and turbo. In the latter, not only the density of the steam cloud increases, but also the power with which it is supplied (provides deep penetration of steam into the tissue).
  3. Automatic temperature control (OptimalTEMP technology).
  4. Automatic shutdown if not moving for more than 120 seconds. But at the same time it prevents overheating of the sole. That is, even if the iron is stationary, then the temperature first decreases to the minimum value, after which it turns off completely. The inclusion is blocked until any of the keys on the handle is pressed.
  5. Vertical steaming.
  6. Scale protection.
  7. System to prevent splashing of water when using steam supply.
  8. There is self-cleaning.
  9. The "turbo heating" function allows you to iron in 5 - 10 seconds after turning on the iron in the mains.

Distinctive features

Philips GC5039/30 Azur Elite belongs to the "premium" category. And this means that it has an ideal assembly, more durable, wear-resistant body materials are used. Naturally, all this affects its cost, but these irons are mainly bought by those who are used to using only the highest quality equipment.

The power cable has a direct connection (through a protective insert, preventing wire breakage). It is located as far back as possible, so it does not interfere with work at all.

The sole is thickened. Therefore, the iron copes with complex folds perfectly, although this has little effect on its mass.

Customer Reviews

Almost all reviews are very positive. Estimated iron rating - 4.8 points out of 5. Reproaches only towards the cost. After all, it is about 1.5 - 1.7 times higher than for other irons from the Azur line.

Got this iron for my birthday. Before that, I used some kind of cheap one, even without a name on the case itself. Of course, the difference is enormous in favor of Philips. It irons very delicately, does not stick, you do not need to regulate the temperature at all, it automatically sets it and for some reason it is always correct. Also very compact. The only thing I don't like is that the steam regulator is very tight. It was possible to make a simple button for this.
