Iron Philips GC4564/20 Azur: review, specifications, pros/cons, reviews
The Philips GC4564/20 Azur is one of the first Philips irons to feature a titanium soleplate.It is resistant to scratches, and also prevents the formation of traces of scale (it simply “slips off”).
And it glides an order of magnitude better than irons with ceramic soles. This did not affect the weight in any way, it weighs no more than the rest of the models from the Azur line. What else is different about this iron?
How do those who already actively use it in practice respond about it?

Functionality Philips GC4564/20 Azur
Functions supported by the Philips GC4564/20 Azur iron:
- Continuous steam or at the touch of a button. The density of the supplied "cloud" can be adjusted using a special handle.
- Steam attack. There is also a "turbo kick".
- Supports vertical steaming. The steam density can be adjusted in this position.
- Protection against scale formation. The removable reservoir is located in the back of the sole (“drowned” in the case, so you can’t accidentally press it).
- Anti-drip system. Achieved through a special "angular" design of the nozzles, which supply steam under a slope. Another row of nozzles is used for direct steam boost.
- Spray function. At the push of a button on the tank.
- Automatic shutdown if positioned horizontally (after 30 seconds). Automatic shutdown after 8 minutes if motionless (a special sensor is integrated inside that monitors movements).
- Turbo heating. Allows you to start ironing literally 5 seconds after turning on the iron in the electrical network.
Distinctive features Philips GC4564/20 Azur
The key difference between Philips GC4564/20 Azur and all other irons in the Azur line is the use of a titanium soleplate that is resistant to scratches and chips. And this is not spraying or coating, but a full-fledged massive metal plate. The nozzles are evenly spaced, the front part of the “nose” is narrowed, which makes it easier to iron clothes with a very large number of transitions or folds.
The power cable is attached through a swivel joint. Thickened in the part that connects to the iron, so it does not tangle at all. But this is also a disadvantage - more space is required to store the iron (if the ironing board is not constantly used).
And Philips GC4564/20 Azur has one of the most powerful steam shots. Water consumption is up to 240 milliliters per minute. If you believe the reviews, then with the help of this iron even the processing of soft toys or furniture is performed. Naturally, the technique is not functionally designed for this, but steam penetrates to a depth of almost 1.5 - 2 centimeters. Only ironing stations can boast of such characteristics.
Pros and cons of Philips GC4564/20 Azur

- does not stick to synthetics at all, even if the steam supply is turned off;

- anti-scale protection is effective.
Of the shortcomings:
- inconvenient thermostat;
- a very hard power cable, which sometimes still interferes with ironing things (especially if an ironing board is not used);
- high price.

Customer Reviews
The iron is not the most popular because of the high cost, so there are few reviews about it. But most of them are positive.

I fell for ads on TV. My old iron broke just at that moment. I took this one with a titanium sole. Irons very well, does not stick. But it captures a small area, so it takes a long time to iron. Good thing it's not heavy at all. Of the shortcomings, I can only say that the power cable interferes sometimes during ironing. I've been using it for 8 months and it hasn't broken yet.
