The S7 model is the flagship from Roborock, went on sale in March 2024-2025. The manufacturer has made a number of innovative changes to the device package, making cleaning better and more comfortable.The redesigned TPU center brush is more resistant to hair and fur tangles.

Roborock S7 functionality

Externally, Roborock S7 is made in the corporate style of the brand: a case made of high-quality plastic in white or black. On the body are:

It should be noted a novelty in the device of the docking station: now it is equipped with special brushes that clean the hair from the bottom of the vacuum cleaner before charging.

You can control the vacuum cleaner using three buttons located on the body or via a smartphone. You can use both the proprietary application from Roborock and MiHome from Xiaomi. But the manufacturer recommends using the “native” application, since its performance level is much higher.

With the Roborock S7 app, you can:

• Build an interactive map of the premises;
• Edit and save changes to compiled maps: the device can store up to 4 ready-made virtual maps in memory. This is very convenient for rooms with several floors;
• Customize individual cleaning options for each room;
• Edit the outlines of carpets;
• Adjust the carpet cleaning mode: before a fleecy coating, the vacuum cleaner raises the mop, increases power, turns on vibration or even goes around the carpet as an obstacle;
• Create a cleaning schedule for each day of the week;
• Install "protection from children";
• Turn on the "do not disturb" mode;
• Edit voice package;
• Check accessories for wear.

In the application, the vacuum cleaner not only divides the apartment into rooms, making a detailed description of each of them, but also sets up individual parameters for complex cleaning. For each room, from 1 to 3 approaches are set, suction power, water supply are regulated, limiters are designated - “virtual walls” and restricted areas.

Using the application, you can set the automatic increase in power when driving on carpeted floors. In total, the vacuum cleaner has three modes for cleaning rooms with carpets:

• Auto Carpet: This mode is a first for this model thanks to the innovative Vibra Rise lifting platform. Having found a fleecy area, the vacuum cleaner automatically raises the mop, goes around the perimeter of the coating, remembering the outline of the edges, and then cleans the entire area of ​​\u200b\u200bthe carpet with a brush. Moving down to the floor, the device lowers the platform, continuing the complex cleaning of the premises.
• “Avoid Carpet”: The mode allows the vacuum cleaner to avoid carpeting without setting “no-go areas”. This function makes sense for fluffy carpets with long pile.
• “Vibration on carpet”: the vacuum cleaner drives over carpets with the mop lowered, completely ignoring changes in the type of coating.

Like previous versions, S7 first walks around the room around the perimeter, and then cleans the main area in zigzags. The vacuum cleaner has three modes of operation: spiral movement, zigzag movement and movement along the walls.

Such obstacles as furniture or curtains, the robot goes around quite delicately, easily overcomes obstacles with a height of 10-15 mm. Thresholds of 20 mm are given to the vacuum cleaner with difficulty.

The manufacturer indicates a suction power of 2500 Pa, but in fact the vacuum cleaner works more powerfully than analogues with a power of 3000 - 4000 Pa. The maximum noise level in this case is only 63 dB.

The vacuum cleaner is designed for dry, wet or complex cleaning. The quality of both dry and wet cleaning is quite high. Thanks to the vibrating mop, the robot vacuum cleaner is also suitable for cleaning in the kitchen.

It should be noted a battery with a capacity of 5200 mAh, which is enough for 3 hours of continuous operation, or for cleaning a room with an area of ​​200 square meters. The device takes 6 hours to fully charge.

Roborock S7 is the ideal solution for houses and apartments with a large number of rooms located on several floors. Suitable for both hard and fleecy surfaces.

Given all the presented functionality, at first glance, the overpriced price tag looks quite reasonable.

We bought a vacuum cleaner less than a month ago, and have already forgotten what cleaning is. The unit vacuums and mop the floor by itself. Washes even the most persistent dirt in the kitchen. I bought a robot vacuum cleaner about a month ago and overall I am very satisfied with the purchase. The quality of cleaning is excellent: there is no trace of stains and not strong pollution, it is quiet. Hair and cat hair do not wrap around the brush, you do not need to clean the brush after each cleaning - this is a significant plus. The disadvantages are insignificant, but still I would like a more powerful battery and more suction power: unfortunately, the vacuum cleaner could not cope with cat hair on the carpet. In order to empty the garbage container, it is better to use an auto cleaner.
