How to reset the counter on Brother printers

Brother printers have a counter that keeps track of the number of pages printed. This function is needed in order to signal the replacement of the toner. If the counter beeps that it cannot be printed and asks to replace the toner, it must be reset.

You can reset the printer counter manually:

Turn on the laser.
Take out the toner cartridge. The drum unit remains in the machine.
